![]() ![]() For example, an Ice Keese Eyeball will home in and freeze an enemy when it hits.īrightbloom Seeds are the number one most important item for exploring the Depths, the massive underground area in Tears of the Kingdom. There are also multiple variations of Keese that add elemental effects as well. This is especially useful for flying enemies that are tough to hit. Keese Eyeballs have an interesting effect, as anything they’ve attached to gains a tracking effect that hones in on a targeted enemy. Because of that, you’re much better off using them as highly-damaging arrows, but unless you farm some Gibdos you might be better off saving them for bosses or tough enemies like Lynels. You can attach Gibdo Bones to weapons as well, but the problem is that they shatter in one hit. You’ll first encounter Gibdos in the Gerudo Desert, and the bones they leave behind actually have the highest fusion power of any material in the game. ![]() Gibdo Bones can do some great damage in a pinch. However, ChuChu Jelly is what you’ll come across the most, and they tend to have a larger AoE as well. There are a number of materials that provide elemental effects, such as Like Like Stones, Keese Wings, fruits, etc. While it may not cause extra damage, Dazzle Fruit can give you a quick escape or a way to get the drop on enemies. It’s basically the Tears of the Kingdom equivalent of a flashbang. A bomb arrow fired at a patch of grass can also cause an updraft that you can use with your paraglider.ĭazzle Fruits' only real purpose is to be attached to arrows, as on contact it creates a flash that blinds enemies. That’s not nearly the only use, however, as bombs can also be good for clearing cracked rocks or lighting fires. Fusing bombs to your arrows can be essential in combat, causing explosions that hit huge groups of enemies for big damage. Nintendoīomb Flowers are going to be a staple in your inventory, and you should always collect and buy as many as you can. This would be better if the UA2 ranger is used as they have prepared spells not known making it far easier to explain having different spells.Bomb Flowers are your fiery best friend in Tears of the Kingdom. So, if the PHB, XGTE are available for spells, what would you recommend for the builds? Would you recommend something different for a melee build as opposed to an archer build?Īs Xalthu said it’s probably best that the spells be spread out. Among these are cooks, animal handlers, blacksmiths, cartwrights, etc. There are others that serve in the various supply camps that support the rangers. So you would find Fighters, or Clerics, or Druids among their ranks, but these together amount to 20% of all the Exploring Rangers. There are a few MotW that are not Rangers and a few that are not Humans. Drinking one of these potions requires a bonus action. They are given at the start of each deployment, a bandolier with 10 weak Potions of Healing, 2d4. Each Ranger carries three +1 blades a Falchion, a Short Sword and a Dagger. In my homebrew world the kingdom supports the MotW by equipping them and rewarding them. ![]() Level 2: Rope Trick, Spike Growth, Pass Without Trace Right now, the Rangers are using this build in my NPC template. At Level 10 they would be serving as a large Group Commander. So, what are the best spells for the level 4, Level 5 and Level 6 builds? Also, what would a Level 10 build look like, because that is something the rangers wish to attain, so making a build that doesn't get you in the right shape to attain the level 10 build wouldn't be part of their progression. These rangers are split about 50/50 with archer builds and melee builds. These groups are only attempting to help the Level 3 fellows reach Level 4 safely. A training team may also have two level 3 GS rangers with them. They also kill Orcs that venture into the buffer zone the Rangers use to prevent them from scouting out the area and finding an efficient route to use for a future raid on the subdued human lands.Ī party leader will typically be a level 6 GS Ranger, with a level 5 GS ranger and two level 4 GS rangers to fill out the group. The Rangers, called Men of the Wilds, travel in groups of four to six and mostly spy on the Orcs to detect anything that looks like a buildup before a raid. Most of the NPCs that belong to this group are Human Gloomstalker Rangers. ![]() The Orcs resent the humans pushing into their historically tribal lands so the Rangers keep an eye on them. I am a DM and I have created a group of Rangers that serve as guardians on the frontier against the Orc Tribes that are nomadic.
